Content Materials and Information
Supporting client engagements
Knowledge assets from Become A Leader’s Global Library can be combined with your own proprietary content, and also licensed content from other sources, to create what we call “learning arcs.” Functioning like mini-course books, these learning arcs are pieces of content—articles, videos, lists, action steps, activities, etc.—that have been arranged in a coherent and engaging sequence, with explanatory material that highlights the most essential insights for learners as they move from one piece of content to the next.
Become A Leader’s platform makes it easy for expert practitioners to create learning arcs that support live online presentations—in other words, reading or viewing that participants do before and after your talk. (For an additional fee, Become A Leader can create learning arcs for you.)
Learning arcs can also be created to support of client engagements of a longer duration—whether it’s several days or several months.
The result: the ability to take your own material, augment it with content from our global Library, to create powerful and richly orchestrated experiences for virtual teams.
For more information:
Q. Is there a way to save content so I can easily access it later?
A. There is an option to “Favorite” any article, video, or previously recorded live broadcast in our library. When you “Favorite” something, it will automatically add that piece of content to your own personal list of favorites. You can access your list through the top toolbar on your Dashboard labeled “My Favorites.”
Q. In a library with a vast amount of content, is it hard for me to find specific materials that interest me?
A. There are multiple ways to search through our materials that allow you to easily access the information you are looking for. First, there is a basic search feature where you can type in the keywords or authors that you are looking for. Second, there is an advanced search option where you can specify what format you are looking for (article, video, or broadcast) and select different categories of content to help narrow your search. In addition, we have also provided a brief description of every piece of content in our library so you can quickly discover if it is information you are looking for. To access this description, just hover your mouse over the piece of content you are interested in.
Q. How can I access information relevant to my stated goals?
A. You can connect to innovative, applicable ideas by accessing archived broadcasts from your experts, and other videos and articles both from your experts and from the Become A Leader Global Content Library. All content in the Global Library is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you can choose to search for content or browse content that is pre-selected to help you achieve your goals.
COMPANY CONTENT TESTIMONIAL
Bill B is a new partner at Ben, Jarvus, Green & Ellis LLP, a boutique firm specializing in employment law. Bill is a confident litigator and has been a successful member of the firm for many years. As a partner, he will continue to improve his legal skills, but will also be required to mentor several new associates in the firm.
To be an effective mentor, Bill needs to learn a new skill set. However, he is simply too busy to go through a time-consuming in-class leadership development program, but does not want to seek out a generic and untimely online education course either. When his mentee seeks specific advice, he wants to know that he can find answers immediately, without wondering if an instructor’s syllabus will provide the answers he needs.
The Become A Leader Global Library is filled with specific, relevant, and concise materials that can help Bill learn exactly what he needs to know to be a good mentor. Bill can access articles and videos whenever he needs them, wherever he has an internet connection.
Using Become A Leader allows Bill to have a positive influence on the junior associates in his firm, without sacrificing valuable time and effort, allowing him to find the answers he is looking for without getting distracted from his business.
